CSA's

CSA's or community supported agriculture is a system that connects consumers with farmers. This allows for consumers to support local farmers in a way that doesn't require consumers to travel long distances to get fresh produce, or meat. While often expensive when buying meat CSA's you pay a premium for the finest quality. Most people justify the amount of money spent by cutting down on the amount of meat consumer in favor of the quality of meat. For vegetable and other produce, CSA's alleviate the pressure that farming policy places on local farmer. Due to the location of most farms being away from major urban centers it is often hard to sell the produce produced to local buyers. Therefore by committing to buying a certain amount you can help farmers continue to produce sustainably. For more details check out the article box.
